After factoring in jobs schedule, schools schedule, and age of children, I think the best time for us to have the reunion is sometime in summer 2014. This way schools will be out and the girls (Sameeha, and Amani) will be old enough to endure the long flight and hot days of sightseeing.
I know the time seems a long way off, and according to the poll more people preferred the reunion to be in 2013, but there are many factors at play here and I wanted the most optimum time in which everyone can participate. And planning for such a big group will take time. So stay put as more information comes your way.

To be honest children aren't old enough to ease travel until they become teenagers. In other words, I don't think it would make a big difference.
