1. Turkish baths
2. Ephesus - Paul, very Christian. 15% excavated so far. 5 miles from Aegean sea
3. Pamukkakale - hot springs, nice hotel, pool with ancient columns in it
4. Aphrodisias - ancient civilization. just like Greece
4. Konya - very Islamic, Rumi's tomb, his message of love. St. Paul also visited. Darvesh's circling around in meditation, one hand down to represent hand on Quran and other up to represent world.
5. Cappadocia - Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, Güzelyurt . Green motel
6. Ankara - modern
7. Aspendos, Perga and Pamukkale of Turkey where song was shot (near Antalya)
8. Along Turkey's southwest coast, beautiful wooden boats (called gulets) cruise the azure waters, exploring coves and inlets. I capped off my trip with a day-cruise from the resort town of Bodrum
9. Istanbul - the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Chora Church, and Mosque of Süleyman the Magnificent). You'll also enjoy a scenic Bosphorus cruise, guided walking tours of the city walls, Old Town, and New District — and be amazed by Topkapı Palace, the colorful Grand Bazaar and the exotic Egyptian Spice Market.
